PRP and Stem Cell Therapy

Our medical providers, Dr. Jason Kouri MD and Lisa Moore ANP, use Platelet Rich Plasma and Bone Marrow-Derived Stem Cell therapy to help promote healing and repair of damaged or injured joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Using a patient’s own reparative cells to promote healing is natural, minimally-invasive, and non-surgical. At Atlas Medical Center, our medical providers strive to encourage healing as naturally as possible, without the need for surgeries or the use of prescription medications.

Atlas is one of a handful of offices that uses an FDA cleared device to extract stem cells and other reparative cells from a very small area in the pelvis. They are then immediately injected into the affected joint using an ultrasound to visualize the area. This new device makes this thirty minute procedure virtually painless, and does not require patients to have any downtime.

Advanced Cold Laser Therapy

In addition to using the body’s own cells to promote healing, Atlas Medical Center utilizes Cold Laser Therapy to speed up cell repair, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the lymphatic and vascular systems.

Cold Laser Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that enables laser light to penetrate several layers deep, and stimulate blood flow to cells to speed up healing without causing cellular damage.

It’s a gentle procedure that enables weak, damaged cells to absorb the photon light and in turn, activate the process of ATP (cell energy) production. This energy production helps reduce inflammation, edema, and pain while also improving nerve function and increasing intracellular metabolic healing rates.

Our providers at Atlas Medical Center were one of the first in the United States to utilize cold laser therapy to help treat joint and spine pain. In fact, our providers developed many of the protocols used today to help treat chronic joint pain. Atlas Medical Center continues to be one of the premier cold laser treatment centers.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Since 2001, our providers have utilized Spinal Decompression Therapy to help treat herniated, bulging, degenerated discs, sciatica, and pinched nerves in the neck and low back.

Spinal decompression is a non-surgical healing alternative to surgery. It works by gently removing the pressure to the discs and pain producing nerves in the spine. Decompression replenishes the fluid between the discs and improves circulation around the spinal column. This procedure allows for most to have long term sometimes permanent pain relief in the back and neck allowing them to avoid invasive surgeries, painful procedures, or potentially dangerous medications.

Our providers at Atlas Medical Center were one of the first to introduce spinal decompression therapy to the DFW area in 2001. We have performed thousands of treatments, and have helped hundreds of residents experience back and neck pain relief.
